I'm really grateful for the one I've got

Whilst I am very fond of my male friends, they sometimes tell me the most atrocious things. I've got this innate truth serum-like quality, which on this occasion, reminded me why I stopped going out with men of a certain demographic 5 years ago.

Male Friend A*: The woman must be slim. She must cook well. Intelligence is not necessary.

Jan: What? Then what will you talk about?

A*: We don't need to talk.

Jan: ...

*: Identity to be protected in case he gets bashed up by the legions of intelligent, liberated feminists out there. Heck, I'm not one and I kind of felt like tipping the Coke on his head.

I think the truth, serum-like quality stems from the fact that you're equally truthfully about everything too. :)

Thank you dear! Nonetheless, diplomacy and brown nosing seem to mean more in work environments. SIGH.
